God, you who teach the importance of humility and control over the heart! I realize that the tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, that the lips of the wise spread knowledge, and that a happy heart makes the face cheerful (Prov 15:1-15). I confess that I have not been able to control my heart and live with humility; I also confess that I have spoken words that are excessive and evil.
Help me to live with humility and faithfulness, and to continually meditate on your word and wisdom. May I live in the fear of the Lord in any situation, properly worshipping you, even with my words and actions. Would you help me to lead a life of true delight in serving the Lord of wisdom"”may that joy be manifested through my spirit that shines and my cheerful face. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
