It looks like TLC is now moving on and eyeing a new family to take off where the "19 Kids and Counting" clan left. Following the abrupt cancellation of the TV show featuring Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's brood, the network has been reportedly on the lookout for fresh stories to take the place of the adventures in the day to day lives of Josh Duggar and his siblings. With the recent announcement that the Busby family will be taking over the time slot, TLC now clearly found their next superstars.
The news of the Busby family getting their own TV show was confirmed by Adam Busby himself, the father of the now widely popular quintuplets. In a blog entry, titled "It's A Buzz World coming to TLC," the dad of six told the fans and followers of his family that they have been working with TLC to come up with the show.
"We have been getting a lot of messages over the past couple days asking us about having our own show on TLC," Adam wrote. He went on to say, "YES, those headlines are TRUE." He then revealed that the project has been in the works even prior to the birth of the "very special quints."
He further wrote, "We truly believe that the only reason that we have been given this great opportunity to share our story and have a voice to potentially millions of people is because of our faithfulness in Christ." Adam added, "With all of the craziness in the world right now, we can't help but wake up smiling when we see these little miracles and we hope that our family has brought a smile to your home also."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new show is slated for release in the spring of 2016. While no title has been agreed upon at the moment, the network confirmed that the TV series will be composed of seven episodes in total. It will revolve around the story of Danielle and Adam, the parents of the female quintuplets. Apart from the five babies, the couple also has a daughter named Blayke. Along with her parents and younger siblings, the 4-year-old will show the world how it is to live with quintuplets in the household. Their grandmother, a "zany" woman named Michelle, will also be part of the show.
The quints are named Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley, and Parker. They are the only all-girl quintuplets born in the United States. The Busby quints are also the only surviving quints in the entire world since 1969. The five babies also include a set of identical twins in the mix.
