Amy Duggar and Dillon King are set to exchange wedding vows soon.
Amy, who is the niece of "19 Kids and Counting' stars Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, took to social media and shared the big news with a photo of her holding hands with Dillon.
On her Instagram post, a new accessory can be easily seen on her left hand: a shimmering, oval-shaped engagement ring.
"I'm so happy to announce ... WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he's loyal, he's patient, he's my best friend! Of course I said yes!! l love you so much! @kingdillpickle #DillandDuggsforever," she captioned the photo.
Dillon also shared his excitement about the engagement news, as he also took to Instagram and posted several photos. He shared a collage of images that included pictures from his proposal.
As they tread on a candle-lit path in the forest, the couple strolled until they reached a table with more candles, champagne, a framed picture of themselves and a box with the sparkly engagement ring right in the middle.
"Well everyone.... WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! @amyduggar I asked you to be my fiancee not just because I love you right now. I got down on one knee because you are the only woman I have and will truly love forever.!!! Xoxo," Dillon captioned his special photo.
The couple has been in a relationship for less than a year, but it had been evident from the beginning that both Amy and Dillon sought a serious connection with each other.
Amy has already shared several photos of the two of them sharing a kiss and, as fans of '19 Kids and Counting' know, her cousins follow different rules when it comes to courting.
According to TLC, Duggar daughters are not allowed to share a kiss with their main man until the actual wedding day. Jim Bob also believes that holding hands should only be allowed after getting engaged.
Amy, who also comes from a Christian family, does not follow the same dating rules as her cousins.
"I'm not going to change who I am to have a certain image," she explained. "I'm the free spirit of the family. I'm not being rebellious; I love my family. I just have to be true to myself."
Meanwhile, the Duggar family continues to expand as Anna Duggar is expecting her fourth child with Josh while Jessa Duggar is expecting her first one with Ben Seewald.
