Cecile Richards
Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood made a suggestion through a short video that one of the things that women need for Valentine's Day is "safe, legal abortion". This is a rather startling suggestion for believers to hear on Valentine's.
The video features Richards carrying a set of cue cards. On the top and bottom were the words, "#WhatWomenNeed", "for Valentine's Day". In the center was a large heart and in the center were the words, "SAFE + LEGAL ABORTION" in all capital letters. Her other cards included other health-related things that women may require such as cancer screenings, and maternity care.
Planned Parenthood is in fact one of the organization that carry out the most number of abortions in the United States. In 2012 alone, 327,000 cases of abortion were carried out.
