Nike's Jordan Brand will make waves this weekend as they are set to release a highly-anticipated model and two more in the coming week in time for the upcoming 2015 NBA Playoffs.
Coming out on Saturday is the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Georgetown" edition, which is officially listed as the Grey Mist/Midnight Navy-White of this popular model, which is considered as an iconic model because of its formal look despite being a basketball sneaker.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Georgetown" sports a grey-based mesh upper part combined with navy blue patent leather on top of the white midsole. It is finished off with an icy blue translucent outsole along with black lining and insole, which bears a "30" print as this shoe was made as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of Jordan Brand.
According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, this was dubbed as the "Georgetown" edition because it bears the team colors of the Georgetown Hoyas and is similar to the Air Jordan 11 Retro that was included in the Air Jordan Georgetown Pack that hit the sneaker market in 2012.
But according to the official product page on Nike.com, this is named as "Grey Mist" edition mainly because of the grey-based mesh upper. This edition will be available starting 10AM ET, Saturday, on Nike.com.
The new Air Jordan 11 Retro Low will be available in full family sizing. The men's sizes will be sold for $170, gradeschool sizes for $120, preschool sizes for $75 and toddler sizes for $55 each pair. Official photos of this excellent looking sneaker are available on this link.
Meanwhile, Jordan Brand will also release the NBA Playoff-inspired colorways of the Air Jordan XX9, which is considered as the lightest Air Jordan shoe model as it was made with a one-piece woven upper combined with a much-improve FlightPlate technology.
The Air Jordan XX9 will be released in "Home" edition, which is listed as the White/Photo Blue-Turquoise Blue-Cool Blue colorway, and "Away" edition, which is listed as the White/Photo Blue-Turquoise Blue-Cool Blue colorway.
"The newest colorways of the Air Jordan XX9 arrive just in time for the playoffs, featuring a unique upper graphic with Cool Blue and Photo Blue highlights," Nike wrote in a statement. "Time for the stretch run. The road to the playoffs begins here. Take Flight."
The Air Jordan XX9 "Playoff Pack" will be available on Wednesday, April 15, on Nike.com. Both editions will be available for $225 per pair. Official photos of the Air Jordan XX9 "Home" and "Away" editions are available here.
