Google has already released the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop, and most owners of high-end devices are already enjoying the new features of arguably the best version of Android.
As expected, Google addressed several issues on Android 4.2 KitKat based on users' complaints. One of the most interesting additions on Android 5.0 Lollipop is the "Tap and Go" feature.
Instead of manually configuring your new Android Lollipop device to make it function like you old smartphone or tablet, Google introduced the "Tap and Go" feature. It lets users transfer all Google account details, device settings and installed applications to the new device with a single tap.
Battery life has always been a concern for Android users, but Google made sure that they could address the issue. According to Gizmodo, the Android Lollipop includes a built-in battery saver mode. Users can activate the feature when the battery hits 15 percent or lower.
Google also included an application to predict battery life, which allows user to see how much time is left before their device runs out of power or how many more minutes are needed before the battery becomes fully charged.
If you want to share or hand your device to a friend or family member, you don't have to worry about sensitive information on your smartphone or tablet anymore as Google introduced the new "Guest Mode" feature.
"Sharing devices with other people can be a real pain, but Lollipop's new Guest Mode eases it somewhat," David Nield, an analyst from Gizmodo wrote. "You can access Guest Mode by dragging down the notification drawer, tapping on your user account avatar, and then selecting Add guest from the menu."
Google also added Screen Pinning, which allows users to limit a certain user to one single app. This is useful when a friend or family member borrows your device to send text message or use the web browser.
Another interesting feature of the Android Lollipop is the "Flappy Bird" clone. Like in the previous versions of Android, Google included a hidden Easter Egg. The Android Lollipop edition works like the popular "Flappy Bird" game, but it features an Android robot instead of a bird.
