Apart from Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC and Motorola, there are a number of Asian brands that are beginning to rise in the Android market.
Some of these phone makers include Xiaomi and Lenovo, but Huawei may be looking to make the first move with its new smartphone.
According to a report from Phone Arena, Huawei will soon launch another interesting handset in India. Dubbed as the Huawei Honor 6 Plus, the device will be available in India solely through Flipkart beginning on March 24.
In the report, the device has a unique dual-camera feature in that both sensors are placed at the back. The Honor 6 Plus packs an auto-focus 8MP shooter at the back as well as a secondary fixed focus 8MP snapper.
While the two sensors have the same resolution, the auto-focus one reportedly has f/2.0 aperture, while the other one features an f/2.4 aperture.
So what can these twin cameras do?
In the report, users of the Huawei smartphone can interchangeably use both sensors in order to come up with the best possible shot. The two sensors and the phone's camera features also enable users to edit images after the actual shot.
Aside from the twin cameras at the back, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus also packs some pretty high-end specs which include a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM and either a 32GB or 64GB internal storage.
Running the device is Huawei's very own octa-core Kirin 925 chipset, a Mali T682-MP4 GPU, and a microSD card slot that can support up to 128GB of storage.
Based on the report, the Android phone will come with a huge 3,600mAh battery, and Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box. Completing the spec sheet is Cat.6 LTE that can boost download speeds of up to 300mbps. There are also two SIM card slots - one nano SIM and a micro SIM slot.
Unfortunately, the report indicated that there are still no exact pricing details for the Honor 6 Plus, although there are some tips that it would fall between $286 and $318.
Meanwhile, Huawei is also preparing to unveil its Huawei Mate 7 Mini, which features some decent specs and an 'insivible' fingerprint scanner located just below its camera. Also dubbed as the Mate 7 Compact, this newcomer is rumored to arrive with a 4.7-inch display, an aluminum build, and a more affordable price tag.
