Over the past months, "Arrow' actor Stephen Amell and WWE wrestler Stardust have been making the headlines for coming up with an entertaining feud. Up to now, the two stars have mostly kept the teasing online, although they did have a face-to-face jawing session on Monday Night Raw.
At the recently concluded Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego, a fan asked Amell whether he will take on Stardust in a wrestling match at Summer Slam.
"I'm not not gonna wrestle Stardust at Summer Slam," the 34-year-old actor answered. "I know that double negatives in the English language are a no-no."
He further explained, "I'm probably gonna do some stuff with the WWE. I don't know if that means a wrestling match. We'll see."
With WWE being rumored to be coming up with a program between Amell and Stardust, the "Arrow' star previously clarified that he prefers to host the show on several occasions.
Several entertainment websites weighed in on the issue, including Hollywood Life , which claimed that: "Steven is looking to get in the ring for the WWE and the match looks like it will take place at SummerSlam in NYC."
The website added that WWE and Amell are yet to decide whether the actor should join the wrestling match as himself or take on his Arrow character.
However, amidst huge rumors, the "Flash' actor confirmed that he will not be appearing in the ring to wrestle it out with Stardust.
Amell took to social media to address such speculations and shared the following tweet: "Lots of rumors circulating that I'm fighting @StardustWWE at Summerslam. Not true. Cody wants no piece of me."
Meanwhile, his series "Arrow' concluded its third season with the episode titled "My Name Is Oliver Queen,' showing a brawl with Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins. His character Oliver also makes a decisions to retire from being Arrow and turn his back on his crime-avenging deeds as he drives off with Felicity into the sunset.
While the show's main hero finally proclaims that he is one happy individual, it remains a big question as to whether there will be changes in his character in the fourth season.
In an interview with TV Junkies, the father-of-one opened up about CW's hit series remaining the same when it comes to its main storyline. However, it can be expected to incorporate new elements as well.
"It still feels like our show but there are different elements that I think people are going to enjoy...we get to see some characters interact that weren't always the closest of friends or interacting on a regular basis which is neat when you're doing new stuff in the fourth season of a show," the actor shared.
In a past interview during the CW's Upfront presentation, Amell also confirmed that he is done with wearing the Arrow suit.
"Arrow is done. No more Arrow suit. I've worn it for the last time," the actor said.
"Arrow' returns to the small screen for its fourth season on Oct. 7.
