After waiting for two months, Android lovers in Taiwan and other neighboring Asian countries would finally enjoy the latest fad in the smartphone world - the Asus Zenfone 2.
According to a new report by GSM Arena, the Asus Zenfone 2 pricing details have been revealed. For those fans who previously thought that the Zenfone 2 is only one device, here are the complete details about the handset.
In the report, the Zenfone 2 has a number of versions. The ZE551ML, which is the top model and boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display, 4GB RAM, Intel's quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, and 32GB of built-in storage is priced at NTD 8,990, or about $285.
Meanwhile, another ZE551ML model that packs lower-end specs such as a 2GB RAM, and 1.8GHz quad-core CPU will cost NTD 6,990 or around $220.
The ZE550ML version of the Asus Zenfone 2 boasts a 5.5-inch display but only an HD (1280 x 720) screen, 2GB of RAM, 1.8GHz CPU and 16GB of internal memory. It costs NTD 5,990 or only $190.
Last but not the least is the ZE500CL model that only gets a 5-inch, 720p display, 2GB of RAM, a 1.6GHz Intel processor, and 16GB of internal storage. The Android-powered smartphone costs NTD 4,990 or only $160.
All of these four smartphones are named Asus Zenfone 2 so interested buyers better check out the exact model first before making the purchase. In the report, the smartphone will first become available in Taiwan, then China, and other neighboring markets in Southeast Asia.
Aside from the phones, new accessories have also been announced that would work well with the new Zenfone 2 handsets. A new ZenFlash accessory has been reported recently, and it would provide better lighting features for the Android phone once the accessory has been attached to the phone through its USB OTG.
Another accessory is dubbed as Lolliflash, which enables the device to have a dual-lighting LED flash, perfect for low-light conditions. It is connected via the phone's headphones jack and has its own battery and switch.
Since the Asus Zenfone 2 was announced back in CES in Las Vegas, Android fans have been interested in the device due to its high-end specs and aggressive pricing. In another report by NDTV, the device will hit the Indian market as well, though consumers will need to wait until April.
