Anybody who has seen Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson's hilarious supermodel film Zoolander back in 2001 would definitely picture Derek Zoolander's son as someone who is slick, fashionable and graceful, just like his father.

So when Stiller shared on his Instagram account a photo of Derek with his son Derek Jr. played by Cyrus Arnold, fans of the Zoolande film are quite surprised to see an awkward looking kid with bad hair.

"Meet @cyrusarnold. Son of Derek. #Zoolander2," Stiller captioned the photo.

In the photo, Derek is seen driving his car with his son on the passenger's seat. It looks like Derek is driving Derek Jr. to school since the latter is wearing what appears to be a school uniform. His son's face looked both fearful and hesitant, while his father looked as cool and fashionable as always, as if he's being shot for a magazine cover right then and there.

Arnold could not be more thrilled to be a part of Zoolander, much more be cast as Derek's son. He even shared the same photo Stiller posted on his own Instagram account and wrote,"It's out!!! I am playing Ben Stiller's son in 'Zoolander 2'!! So happy to share the news with all of you!! #zoolander2 #derekjr"

Before being cast as Derek Jr., Arnold managed to make appearances in movies such as About A Boy with Hugh Grant, Richie Rich, and Comedy Bang! Bang, so Zoolander 2 is actually his big break.

Meanwhile, Stiller went on to star in several popular movies after playing Derek Zoolander, and Stiller has been quite explorative when it came to roles, which range from drama to action and to comedy.

For Zoolander 2, not only will Stiller be starring as the lead character, but he will also be sitting on the director's seat and that is something he considers quite daunting.

"I've never directed a sequel - you want to try to make something that's fresh and new and also honours what people loved about the first one. I'm just trying to go back to what makes us laugh," he told the Sydney Morning Herald.

The actor slash director really has a lot on his plate since it would be very difficult to top the hilarious scenes and lines from the original movie, with this as an example: "Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good-looking?"
