Exciting things are up ahead for the Duggar family from 19 Kids and Counting, especially since Jill is going to give birth to Baby Dilly shortly.
The Duggar family made the announcement of Baby Dilly's arrival on their Facebook page with a black and white photo of Jill holding up baby socks. "So. Very. Close," they wrote.
Jill and her husband Derick Dillard decided that they want a home birth for Baby Dilly, and the loving couple earlier told PEOPLE that they are already prepared for it.
Derick said they already got the birthing pool ready, as well as the bassinet and the crib. Meanwhile, Jill said that she will be getting a lot of help from her mom Michelle, mother-in-law Cathy Byrum, and sisters particularly Jana who will serve as "errand runners."
It will be no doubt that Jill will make a great mom, since she already has a lot of experience taking care of kids because of her work as a midwife. Derick, on the other hand, has never changed a diaper his entire life.
Still, Derick is very excited to change his first diaper for Baby Dilly, and so is his brother. Derick expressed eagerness that the two of them will "get to change our first diaper."
He added that even before Baby Dilly is born, his brother has already lined up lots of exciting activities for his nephew, such as a camping trip.
Families, friends, and co-workers have earlier thrown separate baby showers for the couple as well. The first baby shower was given by Derick's Walmart co-workers, and his mother was invited together with some of the Duggar family members.
Jill and Derick were given tons of baby presents such as diapers, clothes, and even a baby basket. Another shower was thrown by Derick's church family, and it was held at The Olive Garden.
While news about Baby Dilly's arrival is pretty exciting, Jill and Derick are also thrilled to be celebrating the first year anniversary of their engagement as well.
Derick shared a collaged photo on his Instagram account in honor of the event, with Jill holding up a "39 Weeks 4 Days" sign, Derick wearing a shirt that says "#newdad" and a "Dad-to-Be" mug.
He wrote alongside the photo, "Happy 9 monthiversary @jillmdillard !!! A LOT has happened since June 21! I am blessed beyond measure and every day is even better with you baby! You're my best friend, and I love you with all my heart!"
