Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have officially welcomed their first child together. Although the 'Green Lantern' star and 'Gossip Girl' actress have yet to formally announce the birth of their first baby, the news has already been broken by Page Six on Monday.

Lively, 27, reportedly gave birth to her first baby with husband Reynolds in the couple's house in Bedford, New York. The actress, who is known for her role as 'Serena van der Woodsen' in the hit television series 'Gossip Girl', secretly married the 37-year-old star in September 2012.

The first child of the duo, who arrived earlier than the anticipated date, came into the world just before the New Year, reports claim. To date, both mother and the newborn child are still recuperating and are healthy.

"The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy," a source close to the couple revealed. "The Bedford house is all prepared. They're going to stay up there for the baby's first days," the source added.

Lively shared the news of her pregnancy in her lifestyle website, Preserve, in October when she posted a picture of her showing off her baby bump. The photo was taken by the star's brother, Eric Lively.

Following the announcement of the actress' pregnancy, the 'Gossip Girl' star shared her excitement and enthusiasm about starting her own family. In addition, Lively shared her desire to have a lot of children, citing her childhood memories with her siblings as an example.

"It's something that I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl. I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here," she revealed in an interview.

In one of her interviews, Lively also disclosed that she came from a "big family of Southerners," hinting that she might want the same thing for herself and Reynolds.

"I'm the youngest of five, so I never raised any siblings below me, but I'm always the person who's taking everyone else's kid and putting them on my hip, so I've kinda always been a mama. So we'll see," she said.

For his part, Reynolds also revealed his excitement for the new baby. Although he is a first-time dad, Reynolds shared that he has acquired a lot of experience in terms of taking care of babies because of his nieces and nephews.

"For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don't want to make. I'm at that stage still where I'm focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error," the actor shared.
