Shane Mosley will make his comeback later this month, but the veteran boxer is already looking forward to future fights against his previous tormentors.
Mosley, who will go up against Ricardo Mayorga on Aug. 29 at the Forum in Inglewood, told BoxingScene that he decided to make a comeback because he wants to avenge his defeats.
The 43-year-old, who has not fought since absorbing a seventh-round loss to Anthony Mundine in November 2013 in Australia, said that he is eager to face Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Saul Alvarez and Winky Wright again.
Mosley took unanimous decision defeats to Alvarez and Pacquiao in May 2012 and May 2011, respectively. Mayweather and Cotto also scored convincing decision victories against the former world champion, while Winky Wright defeated him twice in 2004.
"My mindset is to beat all the guys that beat me," Mosley said. "Obviously I can't beat Vernon Forrest. God bless the dead. There is Mayweather, there is Pacquiao, there is Winky if he wants to come back and fight. There is Canelo and Cotto. They are all out there to fight."
Mosley, who holds 47-9-1 record with 39 knockout victories in his career, also added that he is also willing to face Oscar De La Hoya again if the Golden Boy Promotions president decides to return to fighting.
Mosley escaped with a split decision win during their first showdown in June 2000 in Los Angeles, and followed it up with unanimous decision win during their rematch in September 2003 in Las Vegas. The California native believes he is in a good position to win against his next opponents.
"If Oscar wants the rematch let's do it," Mosley said. "Right now there aren't any injuries - the Achilles, the groin. I am good. Let's do the rematches."
Mosley also insisted that he is not washed up like most critics are saying. In his upcoming rematch against Mayorga, who was knocked out during their first fight in September 2009, Mosley vowed to prove his doubters wrong.
"I healed for two years and I feel great," Mosley said. "People say I am old but Bernard Hopkins is 50 and getting ready to fight. When I was 38, 39 years old I was considered old but Mayweather is 38 and Pacquiao is 38 or 37 and they aren't considered old. Why do I get the old man's title when I probably look the youngest out of all of them?"
