A major Hulk spoiler may have just been revealed by the German media as actor Mark Ruffalo, who has not been officially confirmed to play his green, bulky character in "Captain America: Civil War,' was spotted on the Berlin set of the highly-anticipated film.
"Since this week, US superstars Chris Evans (34), Mark Ruffalo (47) and Anthony Mackie (36) along with fellow actor star Daniel Brühl are shooting the third part of 'Captain America' in Berlin," Germany's BILD stated, according to a translation provided by Comicbookmovie.com.
Fans had already speculated that the Hulk may have chosen a side in the upcoming superhero battle as the 47-year-old actor, who plays Dr. Bruce Banner, the human alter-ego of the incredibly strong superhero, was spotted with Evans, who plays Captain America.
Drawing out inspiration from the well-known 2007 "Civil War' comic book miniseries, "Captain America 3' features a major break in the superhero community.
The story of "Civil War' continues from where "Avengers: Age of Ultron' ended, as Steve Rogers enlists the new team of Avengers and carries out their mission to protect humanity.
Following another incident that leads to collateral damage, the international government finally calls for a new system of accountability to determine when they would be calling on for the superheroes' help. Such decisions bring on an adverse impact on the Avengers as they carry on with their mission in protecting the world from a new villain.
Based on a screenplay written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the third installment of the superhero franchise is helmed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who also worked on "Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and "Community.'
Evans will be joined by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson (Falcon), Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes (War Machine), Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany as The Vision.
After his appearance in Marvel's "Ant-Man,' Paul Rudd will also be appearing together with the Avengers as he portrays Scott Lang in "Captain America: Civil War.'
Rounding up the hero-filled cast are Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa (Black Panther), Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter (Agent 13), Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow (Crossbones), William Hurt as General Thaddeus Ross (Thunderbolt) and Martin Freeman, who was announced to have the joined the cast for a role that is yet to be revealed.
Produced by Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige, "Captain America: Civil War' is executive produced by Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee.
Members of the creative team include designers who previously worked on blockbuster movies such as "Godzilla', "The Matrix', "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' and "Elysium.'
"Captain America: Civil War' is scheduled for an official release in the United States on May 6, 2016.
