The latest details about Ant-Man's "gigantic' appearance in the third "Captain America' installment have circulated online as there have been rumors of Scott Lang taking on the Giant-Man form in "Civil War.'
Although the shrinking superhero is confirmed to make a special appearance in "Captain America 3,' there have been scarce details of his role in the movie.
On the other hand, "Ant-Man' helmer Peyton Reed recently fuelled the speculations relating to "Giant-Man' in one of his recent interviews as he teased Ant-Man's big transformation.
When asked about when viewers could have a glimpse of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) or even Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) transforming into Giant-Man, which both characters experienced in the comics, the director might have unintentionally dropped a spoiler as he responded.
"Listen, I think with Hank Pym and Scott Lang, and with that technology, I think it's safe to say at some point somewhere you're going to see some real growth...," Reed said, while adding, "...for that character. I hedge my bet there, because it could be sort of growth as a human being, emotional growth, or literal giant growth. There's a good chance of that."
In one of the end-credit scenes in 'Ant-Man,' it was teased that the Marvel superhero might come to the aid of Cap and The Falcon as they go on a rescue mission for the escape of Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. However, it remains a question whether he would be helping them as Giant-Man.
In agreement with Ant-Man's transformation, another speculation has also suggested that Scott Lang will, "reach new heights (specifically about 15-20 feet tall) when he returns in Captain America: Civil War."
As pointed out by the rumor's source, Giant-Man can be deemed as a "visually unique" character for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
'Captain America: Civil War' is set for an official premiere on May 6, 2016.
Although "Ant-Man' has received a good response at the box office, the studio has not announced its plans about a possible sequel yet. Nonetheless, Douglas has already shared his interest to reprise his character in future projects.
"It'd be great. It'd be wonderful if it [sequel] comes up, but there's no... I haven't heard any plans or anything," the multi-awarded actor said in an interview with Wall Street Journal.
However, Douglas dropped hints about possibilities in future films, saying: "...But I gather, at the famous Marvel end credits tease, you get a sense of what might happen in the future. I don't want to spoil that for people who haven't seen the movie."
