Chanel model Cara Delevingne performed with American music artist Pharrell Williams on Tuesday. "CC the World' is the title of their song.
They sang live in New York at fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel Métiers d'Art presentation. The song was written by Pharrell Williams.
Chanel released a video for it on their Youtube channel in December 2014 in a short film entitled, "Reincarnation.' It has over 2 million views online. Lagerfeld told Women's Wear Daily (WWD) that online videos are a modern form of communication. He said that he likes to shoot short films because he lacks the patience that full feature films require.
Lagerfeld commented that the Chanel model has "wanted to sing for a long time."
"For her to start singing with Pharrell is not that bad, no?" he added.
Williams has a clothing collection for popular brands such as Uniqlo, Adidas, and G-Star Raw. Pharrell received the 2015 Fashion Icon Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). CFDA is a nonprofit organization that works in developing the future talent of American fashion. It supports students, designers and brands.
Delevingne is famous for her thick, prominent eyebrows. She won the Model of the Year Award at the 2014 British Fashion Awards. She was the face of Burberry in 2012 and became the face of Chanel in 2013. Delevingne is one of the world's top models and walks the runway for other iconic fashion brands such as Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, Dolce and Gabanna, Fendi, and Givenchy.
