During a recent event hosted by “Rick Gage Ministries” in Mount Airy, N.C., from September 8 to 11, more than 400 commitments were made to Christ, with approximately 4,000 attendees present. Another crusade held in Farmville, Va., from September 29 to October 2, attracted an attendance of 5,500, resulting in over 350 commitments to Christ.
Both events were part of the ON TRACK assembly program, through which evangelist Rick Gage and members of his GO TELL team spoke at local public schools about the dangers of alcohol and drugs, as reported by Baptist Press.
The crusades featured guest evangelists, including Tony Nolan, Luther Martin, and Ken Freeman, along with other notable speakers such as Liberty University President Dondi Costin, Bass Fishing Hall of Famer Hank Parker, and Miller Gibbs from Joe Gibbs Racing.
Daniel Merritt, director of missions for the Surry Baptist Association in Mount Airy, described the event as unforgettable. He stated, “When one sees the Holy Spirit sweep through the crowd each night and hundreds make decisions for Christ, one can’t help but exclaim, ‘Wow! I am glad I was there to witness such a move of God.’”
Merritt highlighted the collaborative efforts made with local churches. He noted, “It was clear from the beginning that the goal of GO TELL Crusades was to unite the churches in the community to reach people for Christ with a clear Gospel presentation.”
The crusade was the result of about ten months of preparation, which involved vision, prayerful planning, significant manpower, and the pooling of resources from various individuals aiming to spread the Gospel message.
He further explained, “In planning a successful crusade, the GO TELL Crusade Team provides guidance and passionate leadership, vision, and their crusade expertise from years in evangelistic outreach.”
Testimonies from two recent crusade events have been shared. Jake Eubanks, one of the participants, shared his experience on Facebook, stating, “It was truly AWESOME and so POWERFUL to see God work in and through the crusade as well as hundreds of God’s people from different churches all over the place, having the loving desire to serve His Kingdom in harmony!”
“I believe all were touched in some way, and so many people made decisions to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! Blessings to all who served, donated, came, watched or participated in some way,” he added.
