With "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' being set over fifty years before Harry Potter was born, Daniel Radcliffe recently expressed his excitement over the release of the upcoming prequel.
After taking on the role of the Boy Who Lived in the "Harry Potter' film franchise, the 26-year-old actor will not be making a cameo in "Fantastic Beasts' but is very thrilled to see Newt Scamander's story in the movie adaptation.
"I can barely keep myself in this chair," Radcliffe happily shared. "Yes, I am very excited, but I've also been asked about it a lot, and I don't have any information to give, unfortunately."
Radcliffe also mentioned that he has viewed EW's exclusive photos of Eddie Redmayne as the magizoologist Scamander, stating that he does not have any specific advice for Redmayne when it comes to being involved with the wizarding world.
"I don't think there's anything to live up to as well, especially because it's not like there's original source material which is a very strong narrative," Radcliffe added. "You know, the Fantastic Beasts book is really cool, but it's a bestiary. I hope he's really enjoying it and not feeling too much pressure."
Warner Bros. Pictures recently released the first set of official "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' photos, revealing other characters for the movie, including Katherine Waterston as Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski.
The film's star, Redmayne, also spoke up about meeting author J.K. Rowling along with his "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' helmer, David Yates. The highly anticipated movie will be Rowling's big comeback in cinemas since the conclusion of the popular "Harry Potter' film series in 2011.
"When I was prepping, I met J.K. Rowling and what's so amazing is that her imagination is so full and thorough-it's so encyclopedic of her world-we had an hour together and I sort of asked her about 800 questions so that was a lot of my wonderful research," the 33-year-old actor said in an interview with ComingSoon.net.
Fans can expect the story of the "Fantastic Beasts' to shed more light on magical beings, as suggested by the book's title. Some of these creatures are likely to be familiar to longtime "Harry Potter' fans who have read the books and watched their onscreen versions.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is scheduled for a worldwide release in 3D and IMAX on Nov. 18, 2016.
