Since giving birth to her first child, Jessa Duggar-Seewald and husband Ben have been sharing family photos online.
During the weekend, Ben shared the family's first ever picture together with their little bundle of joy on their website and their official Facebook page for Jessa's upcoming TLC show with sister, Jill Duggar-Dillard, titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On.'
Looking happy and healthy in the picture, the Christian couple can be seen cuddling close to their baby boy, who weighed in at 9 lbs, 11 oz. and measured over 21 inches.
"Our sweet baby boy was born last night," Ben posted on the website. "He's precious and both he and Jessa are doing great. Stay tuned -- we will share his name soon!"
Jessa gave birth at her home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, four days after her due date, which also happened to be their first wedding anniversary. In response to a fan who asked for Jessa to reveal the baby's name on Facebook, the reality TV star wrote: 'We're pretty certain we have his first name, but still trying to settle on a middle name!"
The new mother also shared several lines from the song 'Because He Lives,' which she said captured her feelings when it comes to motherhood.
However, circumstances had not been as smooth as the family expected to be. An ambulance was reportedly called to the scene, and the 23-year-old new mom was rushed to the hospital after going through heavy bleeding, a source from the Duggar family confirmed.
"Jessa was taken to the hospital after giving birth -- such a big baby they wanted to make sure everything was OK," the insider claimed. "And it is! The baby is absolutely beautiful. And Jessa is doing amazing, she is so happy. And Ben is so excited to be a dad! They are already such great parents!"
Even with such complications, members of the Duggar family have already taken to social media to express their excitement over their newest kin. However, none of them mentioned anything about Jessa experiencing trouble during her baby's delivery.
Jessica Seewald, one of Ben's sisters, shared an image of a piece of paper that read "I'm an auntie."
"So excited!!!!! Ben and Jessa have had their sweet new baby," Jessa's parents, Michelle and Jim Bob, also posted on the Duggar Family Official Facebook page.
For the upcoming TLC specials that will be centered on Jessa's story of motherhood as well as Jill's mission work with husband Derick and baby Israel in Central America, fans can look forward to the "Jill & Jessa: Counting On' premiere in December.
