"Beauty and the Beast' actress Emma Watson broke the silence on her most recent love interest Matt Janney. Watson admitted that the breakup was difficult for her and that she had to do something rather unconventional to get over Janney.
Watson has in the past referred to her fall out with rugby player Matt Janney as "horrendous," but this is the first time that she has shared how she dealt with the breakup. The "Harry Potter' star shared that she went on a retreat at the Rocky Mountains in Canada for a whole week.
"I felt really uncomfortable. Even before my relationship ended, I went on a silent retreat, because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself," said 25-year-old Watson in an interview with Vogue UK.
The private retreat center required Watson to not speak in the duration of her stay. Watson and Janney began dating in 2014 and broke up on Dec. 2014. Watson's representatives told the Daily Mail that the breakup was "amicable" and that it was due to Watson's work schedule.
"I certainly haven't found that with doing all that I do or being all that I am, that I've struggled in my love life. I just think it's very patronizing towards men. It undermines them," said Watson.
23-year-old Janney plays rugby for Oxford University and the Georgia National Team.
