A new video released by publisher Electronic Arts (EA) revealed that gamers will be able to do football superstar Lionel Messi's signature move, the "No Touch Dribbling," on the upcoming "FIFA 16" game.
According to the company, the move will not be exclusive to the athlete's character and can be used by other players in the game, Master Herald reported.
In the clip, EA showed how Messi's movements were replicated for "FIFA 16" using motion capture technology. It also focused on how the athlete executes his move in order to trick his opponents.
Basically, Messi leaves the ball in a stationary position while face-to-face with a defender of the opposing team. He then moves in a certain direction without the ball to trick and lead the other player.
Once the defender moves, Messi returns to the ball and dribbles away in the opposite direction.
According to the Barcelona forward, the objective of the move is to lead the defender away in order create a space big enough to penetrate through.
"When one is face to face there is always more room and it is much more difficult for the defender because the attacker has more chances to break away in any direction," Messi explained in the YouTube video.
For the game, EA said players can utilize this maneuver and once they are able to get past their defenders, they can use a variety of control options to either pass the ball to their teammates or kick it straight into the opposing team's goal.
"FIFA 16" is scheduled to be released in North America on September 22 this year. It will be available for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game is also expected to be released for iOS and Android devices.
Aside from lending his signature move to the game, Messi will also be one of the cover athletes of "FIFA 16."
