Following in the footsteps of his brother when it comes to acting, Cody Walker, younger brother of the late Paul Walker, has reportedly landed his first feature film role.
The 27-year-old licensed paramedic made his debut on the big screen this year, when he appeared in his brother's stead for "Furious 7' following Paul's unexpected death in November 2013.
Cody and brother Caleb stepped in to take on Paul's role after he died in a car accident at the age of 40.
After his participation in the last "Fast & Furious' film, Cody is now bagging roles in his own right.
The youngest of the five Walker siblings has signed on for a role in the upcoming "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage,' as reported by Variety.
Cody will make an appearance in the drama movie alongside Nicolas Cage, Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane, and Weronika Rosati, to name a few.
Set for an official release in May 2016, the film sheds light on the sinking of the United States Navy ship USS Indianapolis during World War II after being struck by enemy torpedoes in 1945.
Paul's yonger brother is set to portray one of the ship's 1,196 crewmen. Cage will star in the movie as Capt. Charles B. McVay III, the leader of the ship who faced extensive, yet questionable, inquiry and criticism for his role in the sinking of the ship.
Before joining "Furious 7,' Cody attended University of California, Santa Barbara and went on with his job as a paramedic.
This past April, he spoke to the media during a press conference to promote his late brother's charity Reach Out Worldwide in Sydney, Australia after signing with a talent agent to pursue acting.
"I wasn't nervous to see it. I was more anxious to see how it turned out," Cody told Time. "It's bittersweet, but I think Paul would be proud."
Meanwhile, after raking in over $1.5 billion in the global box office, "Furious 7' will only have to come up with a few more to triumph over "The Avengers' and take on the title for the third-highest-grossing movie in history.
Cast members confirmed to return for "Furious 8' include Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black.
