Fans and followers of the highly popular small screen series Game of Thrones, which was adapted from the novels written by George R.R. Martin, will be facing yet another thrilling and bewildering season as the author himself admitted that even he was surprised by the twists and turns taken by the TV writers to innovate his work, according to Showbiz 411.

In a surprise appearance at the Writers Guild West Awards in Los Angeles, Martin gamely responded to the queries regarding possible spoiler for the upcoming fifth season of the Game of Thrones.

"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy. So everybody better be on their toes. David and D.B. [David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are the co-creators of 'Game Of Thrones] are even bloodier than I am," shared the widely popular author during the event.

Meanwhile, an interview of Sophie Turner with the Huffington Post revealed roughly the same message as the actress shared that the next season for the Game of Thrones will feature "some massive moments." She also added that these events might even turn out to be "more shocking than the Red Wedding type thing."

"There's like a lot going on this season," the actress, who is highly commended for her portrayal of Sansa Stark, revealed during the discussion. "There's also, you know, a lot of blood, a lot of death. And a lot of people kind of come far. And there are a few familiar faces around as well," Turner further hinted.

In addition, the actress shared that Season 5 will bring about quite a lot of changes for her character. Turner disclosed that her character appears to be gradually turning into the dark side as she transitions from the sweet and submissive girl to someone who now thirsts for revenge and power.

"This thing about this whole change for her, changing the dark hair and changing the structure and the color of the dress, was a very conscious decision for her to kind of get away from her mother's Tully roots and really, you know, form something of a House of her own," she elucidated.

Game of Thrones Season 5 will premier in HBO on April 12, 2015.
