Gwendoline Christie has shared positive words about the writing of the upcoming sixth season of "Game of Thrones.'
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com while discussing her role as Captain Phasma in the highly anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' the English actress briefly touched on the new installment of the HBO fantasy drama.
Christie, who takes on the role of Brienne of Tarth on the hit series, did not reveal plot details, but spoke well of the writing for season six.
"I think the scripts for the new season of 'Game of Thrones' are really, truly brilliant, and it is my absolute pleasure to be a part of it," the 37-year-old actress told the website.
Although Christie did not give any more information, it was previously revealed by Jeremy Podeswa that all the main characters will be given "an amazing storyline" when the hit series returns in 2016. Podeswa, who signed on to helm the first two episodes of season six, also stated that the world of "Game of Thrones' will become smaller and focus more on key characters next season.
"I think the way the characters converge is something that started last season, where characters who have never met before were suddenly meeting, and the worlds are coming together, and the world is getting a little smaller in a way. That happens more and more this season," Podeswa explained.
In addition, the director stated that the storytelling will be fast-paced for the first few episodes, emphasizing how the team has focused on being straightforward.
"We just get right into the story and it's very propulsive narratively -- the whole season is -- and it's heading towards a destination that is very exciting," Podeswa added.
Another "Game of Thrones' star also shared the same sentiments about the upcoming season. Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, praised the scripts in an interview with the Los Angeles Times earlier this year.
"It's really exciting," said Clarke. "Next season, I've said this before, but there's a lot of season where you need to [rightly so] kind of need to set the scene. And you have a couple of episodes where you're like, 'OK, feeding information, I get it. We're finding out about this person. And we know about that person. And oh, there's that person.' But this season coming up, that we're about to film, there's none of that."
The 28-year-old actress further teased fans about the new season, describing the scenes as "shocking" and "epic."
'Game of Thrones' season 6 makes its way to HBO in April next year while 'Star Wars: The Force Awakes' hits theaters on Dec. 18.
