‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ Updates & Gameplay: ‘Executives and Other Criminals’ Expansion Pack for PS4, PC and Xbox One Announced

GTA V

Rockstar Games has announced that a new expansion pack for the GTA Online multiplayer mode of "Grand Theft Auto 5" will arrive next week.

However, due to the developers' decision to only support PC and next-gen platforms, the content update will not arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

The upcoming expansion pack is titled "Executives and Other Criminals." According to Rockstar Games, the content update for "GTA Online" will let players walk in the shoes of a high-ranking individual and create their own crime syndicate, Gamespot reported.

"Become a VIP and create your own criminal organization in the latest addition to 'Grand Theft Auto Online,' 'Executives and Other Criminals,'" the studio wrote in the Rockstar Newswire.

"Featuring all new gameplay modes and opportunities for luxury living, 'Executives and Other Criminals' also includes new customizable apartments, stilt houses in the Vinewood Hills and the ultimate in executive excess: the extravagant, fully staffed and upgradeable Super Yacht," Rockstar Games added.

Aside from the new luxurious items that will be available for big-time virtual crime bosses, the expansion pack will also come with new missions where gamers can utilize new weaponized vehicles such as armored cars, the Turreted Limo, and the yacht which comes with its own missile defense system.

The content update will also feature a new Extraction Adversary Mode where players will have to locate and rescue an executive who was in a plane crash. However, in this mode, gamers will also go up against members of a hit squad who are out to assassinate the missing executive.

Players and their criminal organizations can also go head-to-head against one another in Freemode.

"Executives and Other Criminals" will come out on December 15 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. As stated earlier, the expansion pack will not be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of GTA V. According to the developers of the game, they decided to end support for last-gen consoles due to their technical limitations.

Aside from a new expansion pack, Rockstar Games recently released a new mode for GTA Online dubbed as "Every Bullet Counts." In this mode, four players will enter a free-for-all death match but each one is only equipped with a pistol, two bullets and a melee weapon. To avoid campers, Rockstar Games included a feature which reveals a player's position in the map if he or she stays still for more than five seconds, Kotaku reported.
