Fans could be looking forward to "Scream Queens' actress Lea Michele sporting scrubs soon on "Grey's Anatomy' as the star herself admitted that she is merely waiting to get the call from executive producer Shonda Rhimes.
In an interview for Flare Magazine in which she is featured on the cover of the latest issue, the 28-year-old actress revealed that she wants to join the hit ABC series.
Despite a hectic schedule, Michele prefers to add another program to her list of accomplished projects, particularly by bagging a role in "Grey's Anatomy.'
The former "Glee' star also emphasized that she is more than willing to join Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and the rest of the doctors at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
"Shonda, call. Like, what the hell? I'm ready. Put me in scrubs. I'd love a little arc. Just a little arc," she said.
The actress, however, will not be sitting around and waiting for the call as fans can look forward to her appearance in the new series "Scream Queens' by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.
Nothing like her character Rachel Berry on "Glee,' Michele will be taking on the role of Hester, a neck brace-wearing new pledge at the KKT sorority.
The New York native will star alongside Emma Roberts, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Diego Boneta, Lucien Laviscount, Billie Lourd, Oliver Hudson, Glen Powell, Skyler Samuels, Niecy Nash, Nasim Pedrad, Breezy Eslin, Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande.
"The girls of Kappa House are dying for new pledges. Wallace University is rocked by a string of murders. Kappa House, the most sought-after sorority for pledges, is ruled with an iron fist (in a pink glove) by its Queen Bitch, CHANEL OBERLIN (Emma Roberts)," the show's official synopsis states, as reported by Deadline.
The synopsis adds: "But when anti-Kappa DEAN MUNSCH (Jamie Lee Curtis) decrees that sorority pledging must be open to all students, and not just the school's silver-spooned elite, all hell is about to break loose, as a devil-clad killer begins wreaking havoc, claiming one victim, one episode at a time."
With a supersized two-hour premiere, Murphy promises that trouble and action will immediately kick into high gear.
The series creator also noted an important clue in the first episode about the identity of the "Red Devil Killer', known for stalking sorority girls in the campus.
"In the first episode, you've met the killer and there's a big clue dropped in the first episode as to who the killer is, so you'd have to go back and really watch it," Murphy revealed.
The upcoming series will also recognize several classic horror movies, such as "Halloween' and "Friday the 13th.'
"Scream Queens' is set to premiere on Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. E.T. on Fox.
