"Harry Potter' franchise star Evanna Lynch has taken to social media to offer inspiration for young individuals who want to have a shot at landing a role in J.K. Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.'
On Monday, the "Harry Potter' fansite MuggleNet shared an ad for an open casting call for the role of Modesty in the upcoming movie adaptation of the "Harry Potter' spin-off.
Similarly, Lynch landed the role of Luna Lovegood, one of Harry's closest friends, in the last four "Harry Potter' movies after responding to a casting call on MuggleNet in 2006.
The 23-year-old actress recently took to social media and shared a post on her Facebook page, offering inspiration to young girls who are having doubts of auditioning for "Fantastic Beasts,' in which Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne will take on the leading role as Newt Scamander.
"I just want to encourage any girls out there who are tempted to go for this but feel like it's impossible or bigger than you are, to put all those alleged obstacles out of your mind and just go as you, nothing more, nothing less," she wrote.
Lynch, who is also recognized as an animal rights activist, shared her own story as an example of overcoming the challenges in starting out in the film industry.
"I was shy, awkward, too-sensitive-for-this-industry, had not one professional credit to my name," Lynch said as she recalled her audition for "Harry Potter.' "I only went out of love for the books and a fierce desire to tell Luna's story the right way"¦.I'm sure there were better, prettier, more established actresses who went for it but I don't think any of them loved Luna as much as I do."
Scheduled for an official premiere on Nov. 18, 2016, the upcoming spinoff focuses on a story drawn out from Harry Potter's Hogwarts textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' and its fictitious author, Newt Scamander.
With the story being set in the wizarding world as well, it is expected to shed light on various magical beings, as suggested by the book's title, with which some of these creatures will be familiar to fans who have already went over the "Harry Potter' books and its corresponding movies.
Scamander's story begins in New York, at least seven decades before Potter's story came to be.
"The experience of conjuring up these worlds is such fun. So to do it with [Rowling] and with Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram is involved too, and with David Yates, and Stuart Craig will be designing it - it's great. It's exciting. And it's a great world to return to," producer David Heyman shared.
The second and third installments in the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' series have also been set for a release on on Nov. 16, 2018 and Nov. 20, 2020, respectively.
