The filming of the widely anticipated film, "The Hateful Eight," already started and it looks like the director, Quentin Tarantino, is not holding back in making the setting as realistic as possible. In an interview with Collider, Samuel Jackson revealed that the "Django Unchained" filmmaker actually has them shooting in a "refrigerated set."

Jackson, who plays the role Major Marquis Warren, shared that the entire team are "anxious to see this movie." He then went on to say that their work every day was "incredible." He shared, "It was taxing, in a very interesting way, because we were in the snow, at first, and then we get inside this room." Jackson's character is described as a former officer of the Union during the Civil War who now lives in the mountains of Wyoming and works as a bounty hunter.

Meanwhile, Jackson further explained, "Quentin shot on a refrigerated set, and it was 30 degrees, every day, in there. We were miserable in the environment." He went on to describe the experience, "You could see our breath, but the stuff that we were doing was amazing. We would finish doing a scene and look at each other and just grin like, 'This is incredible.' And we may be blowing smoke up our own asses, but I hope it's as good as we felt like it was when we were doing it."

This effort, according to We Got This Covered, was Tarantino's way of ensuring that the "realism of the period piece" is actually achieved. In the film, the story was said to have taken place during a "brutal winter blizzard." As for the actual location, Variety reports that the famed director brought his group to the mountains of Colorado - a place that has now become one of the most highly sought after locations for various Hollywood films.

In an earlier interview with Deadline, Tarantino shared his inspiration for the film. "It's less inspired by one Western movie than by Bonanza, The Virginian, High Chaparral," the director explained, sharing that he did not see the aforementioned films as a proper takeoff point in terms of creating stories in the modern context but found that these were perfectly acceptable in his attempt to make a Western movie.

He shared, "I thought, 'What if I did a movie starring nothing but those characters? No heroes, no Michael Landons. Just a bunch of nefarious guys in a room, all telling backstories that may or may not be true. Trap those guys together in a room with a blizzard outside, give them guns, and see what happens.'"

Apart from Jackson, the film will also feature Kurt Russell (John Ruth), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Daisy Domergue), Michael Madsen (Joe Gage), Tim Roth (Oswaldo Mobray), Walton Goggins (Chris Mannix), Bruce Dern (General Sanford Smithers) and Demian Bichir (Bob). The filming of the movie started way back in January.

"The Hateful Eight" is scheduled to hit theatres on November 13, 2015.
