Lionsgate has unveiled the final trailer of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2' prior to the film's official release date. The trailer zooms in on Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who attempts to triumph over the deadly traps that have been set by the Capitol as the Girl on Fire leads the revolution.
"Teamed with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) - Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her," the plot synopsis states.
The latest two-minute clip begins with Katniss embracing her sister Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields). Lawrence's character then gives another gripping speech to her team and the others who are revolting against President Snow (Donald Sutherland).
"We all have one enemy and that's President Snow. He corrupts everyone and everything. He turns the best of us against each other. Stop killing for him," Katniss says. "Tonight turn your weapon to the Capitol, turn your weapon to Snow."
The trailer also offers a look at the challenges that Katniss and her team should overcome, such as a massive attack from made-up creatures known as Muttations.
"What I like about these movies is that they take the entire world, and they condense it into this one continent, and they take all of these issues and one girl, who took it in her hands," Lawrence shared, referring to the main concept behind the dystopian film series.
Even co-stars Hutcherson and Hemsworth previously agreed about how filming the last movie of the franchise had been full of emotion for all of them.
"The changes that happened in my life from doing these movies are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye, it'll always be a part of me," Lawrence added.
'The Hunger Games' franchise has already pulled in a total gross of roughly $2 billion at the global box office since its first movie was released in 2012.
Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson, Natalie Dormer and Elizabeth Banks are also returning to reprise their roles from the previous movies alongside the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final onscreen role.
Francis Lawrence, who helmed the second and third "Hunger Games' movies, also returns to for directorial duties in the final installment. The screenplay had been written by Danny Strong and Peter Craig; both had also worked on last year's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 1.'
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' is set for an official premiere on Nov. 20. Its latest trailer can be viewed below.
