Apple has recently released a new update for its iOS 8 for the iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices.
According to a report by TheFuseJoplin, the Cupertino-based manufacturer has released iOS 8.1.3, which can already be downloaded for supported iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices. Currently, the supported devices include the iPhone 5s/5c, 5, 4s, 5th generation iPod Touch, iPad 2 and onwards, and all of the iPad minis.
The report said that the iOS update was released in order to block jailbreaking handsets and devices after installing the update.
In the report by Christian Today, the new iOS 8.1.3 update will not allow the jailbreak by TaiG. Apple fans who are interested about the new update's features will experience improved Wi-Fi connection.
Moreover, the update will fix the prompt that requests for the Apple ID and password when accessing Messages and FaceTime. For Apple device users who are updating their devices for the first time, they may get the latest update by following these steps:
Connect to a stable Wi-Fi connection, go to Settings, then choose General, and then Software Update. The new update will then prompt an update, and the user will just have to confirm.
In the report, Apple has been continuously criticized by some tech experts and even its users because of its failure to keep the iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices secure and free from hackers and jailbreakers.
The report mentioned that Stefan Esser, an alleged researcher and hacker, has discovered some features and areas in the iOS which are vulnerable against hacks and jailbreaks.
These vulnerabilities were reportedly discovered by hackers which created the Pangu and TaiG jailbreaks. In spite the fact that Apple discourages jailbreaking, there are still Apple device owners who prefer jailbroken handsets and tablets.
The report mentioned that the new iOS 8.1.3 update will make the device more stable. As a result, crashes, random bootups and other annoying bugs will be prevented.
The update reportedly handles all of the security features which have been keeping some Apple users from using the iCloud. In the report, Apple is continuously updating its iOS platform to regain the trust of its consumers.
