Jill Duggar has been taking to Instagram to share photos of her husband Derick Dillard as they continue with their missionary work while taking care of their little tot, baby Israel.
Although the couple initially planned of keeping their mission trip as private as possible, the new parents have taken to social networking sites and online blogs to provide updates of their experiences in Central America.
The '19 Kids and Counting' star took her husband and baby out of the country right after her wedding anniversary.
According to the Dillard family blog, Derick previously announced that his family will be moving overseas.
"After much prayer and seeking Godly counsel, we realized that taking this opportunity and moving overseas in order to serve is the best option for our family"¦. I recently left [Walmart] and we are currently preparing to leave the US and begin our new endeavor in July."
Nonetheless, the Duggar clan can look forward to a family reunion before the year ends as the Dillard couple is reportedly planning to return to the US this October for a brief visit to their loved ones.
In spite of a "busy and adventurous month," the Dillard family has reportedly discussed plans of coming back to their home country for short visit, giving the Duggar grandparents a reason to anticipate for October when they can hold baby Israel again.
Jill also shared about their family's experiences in the past month, which was described to be hectic and filled with adventure due to an array of projects being carried out on the missionary front.
In addition, the 24-year-old Duggar sister opened up about being able to take a trip to a couple of towns and villages in Central America as part of their charitable work.
The mother-of-one would sometimes hang back to take care of baby Israel while Derick helped out in leading mission teams. However, when left alone, she made use of such opportunity to get absorbed and take in the area's culture and language.
Jill also shared about the local children who loved to play with Israel, giving her time to learn Spanish.
"I asked the local ladies lots of questions, "What is this?', "How do you spell it?' etc. It's not easy learning a new language, but one day soon, I pray I'll be able to communicate fluently and even dream in Spanish," she further mentioned.
In addition, Derick also took to their blog last month and shared about how their baby Israel had instantly become a favorite among the community members.
"Israel seems to be adjusting to the new climate, culture, food (via mom's milk), and language faster than Jill and I are," he shared in a blog post. "In fact, he has been the talk of the town. Everywhere we go, people [hear] about and want to see and hold the 'big blue-eyed, white baby' LOL."
Aside from their plan to pay the U.S. a visit in October, the Dillard couple also aims to spend the next month completing language school to be able to communicate with the people of Central America in their native language.
