It is bad enough that "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco, 29 is going through a painful divorce with her ex husband, but Ryan Sweeting is making things even more difficult for her now that he is asking for spousal support.
The couple announced their divorce on September 25, 2015, according to Us Weekly. The two ended their marriage after 21 months of marriage.
"Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage," the couple said in a statement released at the time. "They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter."
Cuoco filed for divorce three days later, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.
Some sources say that their marriage fell apart because of Sweeting's personal issues and drug dependency.
"She supported him, but she said he couldn't make the commitment to get sober. He'd tell her he was working on it, and instead go get wasted," an insider said.
Meanwhile, another insider said that Cuoco dealt with "a lot of insecurities" within their relationship.
Some rumors even started that Cuoco might have ended her marriage because she wanted to rekindle her romance with ex-boyfriend and "The Big Bang Theory" co-star Johnny Galecki.
"Kaley has a special bond with Johnny, an intensity she never had with Ryan," reported HollywoodLife.
In the sitcom, their on-screen characters Leonard Hofstadter and Penny have just gotten married, but Cuoco and Galecki insist that nothing is going on between them and that they are just friends.
In Galecki's social media account, he posted a photo of himself sitting beside Cuoco, who had her arms up in an I-don't-know gesture.
"No scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship," Galecki, 40, posted.
As for Cuoco, she shared the same photo, but only this time, she and Galecki are sharing a fist bump.
"So sorry to disappoint , but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds- Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!" Cuoco wrote.
As for another "The Big Bang Theory" star Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler in the series, she said that they will always have Cuoco's back.
"We love her to pieces and we give her as much joy and laughs as we give everybody who sees the stuff that we do but she gets to experience it off camera," she told E! News.
