The Korean Community Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, began their 4th Ministers' training and short term missions program in Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua, with the help of Somang Missions Center, the team carried out their ministry in Nicaragua from February 3rd and will continue to March 8th.
The Global Missions Alliance (GMA) along with 7 other churches, and Heaven Research Ministry also participated in this grand undertaking, sending over 60 pastors and church members. Around 700 local pastors and pastors' wives from Nicaragua were reported to have taken part in the program.
The theme for the revival in Nicaragua was church revival through prayer and healing (2 Chronicles 7:14). Leaders from all over the country were united in Managua and gave around 10 lectures and seminars on healing. The participants including Changhwan Kim, the president of Georgia Christian University, Pastor Insoo Jung (Korean Community Presbyterian Church), and Elder Gichul Son.
Pastor Jung described most pastors and church leaders as "sleeping giants". He called for a change in church leadership, which comes through a strengthened relationship with God through struggles.
The Elder Gichul Son's healing seminars were also very popular among participants. Many of the participants were seen on their knees repenting their sins, and at one point, a woman on a wheelchair experienced a miracle of being able to walk again.
During worship, around 8000 locals gathered to praise God. A well-known Gospel singer, Sanidad Interna joined the congregation for the worship. The 63 team members carried out VBS, medical care, and sports ministry with 500 students from Yunhap Christian Mission Academy.
