LG G Flex 2 Release Date In UK Slated In March Through Network Carrier Vodafone

Almost a month after it was announced, the LG G Flex 2 will reportedly hit the UK market starting in March.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the flexible smartphone will be available through local carrier Vodafone, and it should come in several contract options and deals.

The UK carrier will not only be the first to offer the G Flex 2 to consumers. The Android-powered handset will also be exclusive from Vodafone in the phone's first six weeks of availability. In the report, Vodafone will begin offering the device at Carphone Warehouse on February 28.

Unfortunately, for people who are thinking that they'd be getting the latest G Flex phone by the end of February, they will have to wait more than couple of weeks before they receive the smartphone. Reports say the LG G Flex 2 will finally arrive on March 19.

In case you missed the unveiling of the G Flex 2 this month, it boasts a slightly smaller 5.5-inch curved display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The first generation 6-inch G Flex was seen as too big to fit most pockets, and so LG decided to trim it to 5.5 inches. The resolution was also upgraded from HD (1280 x 720) to FHD.

However, in terms of processing power, the Korean brand went all out with the G Flex 2. The Android powered handset packs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, and powered by an octa-core CPU with big.LITTLE configuration. The first four are Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2 GHz, while the other four are Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.5 GHz.

The LG G Flex 2 allegedly offers two options when it comes to RAM and internal storage, a 2GB/16GB combination, and a 3GB/32GB pairing. Even if you choose the cheaper one, you can't go wrong with a smartphone with these beastly specs.

Behind the G Flex 2 is a 13MP primary shooter that has dual LED flash, while the phone's facade features a 2.1MP snapper.

The G Flex 2 is LG's follow-up to the controversial but successful G Flex, which managed to successfully steal the show from Samsung's own flexible smartphone, the Galaxy Round.
