After months of waiting, both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9 have finally been released a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, there are a couple of manufacturers that decided to let MWC pass without announcing a single device.
One of those top phone makers is LG, although there are already rumors surrounding its upcoming flagship device - the LG G4.
According to a report by Phone Arena, a new leaker claims that the high-end Android smartphone would boast a 5.6-inch display, an inch bigger compared to the LG G3 which was announced almost a year ago.
The alleged feature came from a tweet by @OnLeaks, which may be considered a newcomer in the field. However, if this tip will prove to be accurate in the next couple of months, then expect this leaker to provide more reliable rumors and leaks in the coming weeks.
In the report, the LG G4 could boast the same QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) display, which its predecessor already had last year. Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 810 chipset that supports 64-bit applications, and the same button designs where the volume rockers and the power button are placed at the back.
The report also mentioned that due to the recent success of the LG G3 in terms of processing power, the LG G4 may use the same 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage combination from the previous model.
In the camera department, the upcoming Android flagship would possibly pack 16-20MP primary camera, and still powered by OIS (optical image stabilization). The front shooter is rumored to get 5 megapixels of resolution.
In the report, the LG G4 will be announced in May, although it could also increase the pace of its launch schedules. Currently, Samsung and HTC are already preparing to release their flagships into the international market.
If LG sticks to its usual flagship release in May, it may be too late for the 'other' Korean brand.
Meanwhile, a previous report allegedly revealed a mysterious LG device that just passed FCC in the US. The device will allegedly hit Sprint, and boast a huge display. Some people speculate that it will be the G Pro 3, although a previous report already indicated that LG may be discontinuing the G Pro lineup in order to focus on the G4.
Whether LG releases a new Android phone lineup or not, what matters is that it unveils the LG G4 as soon as possible so it can catch up with other high-end flagships that are coming close to their official release dates.
