Selfies just went up another level with a drone named Lily. The latter is a camera-equipped drone that will follow its owner and capture every moment and adventure that the user encounters.
Lily was designed and created with adventurous people in mind. Lily flies itself, so the owner can practically engage in his favorite sport (like skiing), without worrying about who will capture the moment for them.
There is also no set up required for the next generation camera. All a user has to do is turn it on and throw it in the air, and the nifty gadget will start capturing the video all by itself.
Here's a look at Lily in action:
According to sources, Lily is more of "an action cam built into a drone." The drone comes with a tracking device, which users can wear on their wrists or keep in their pockets while filming. The "world's first throw and shoot camera" is equipped with computer vision and GPS, which enables it to follow the user around.
Lily weighs 1.3 kg and measures 10.29 in x 10.29 in x 3.22 in, and can fit in most backpacks. The drone also has specs to boot.
"Lily's optics are finely tuned to capture stunning pictures and videos from the skies," the official website for the drone says. The drone's camera comes at an impressing 1080p HD for video and 12MP for still images. Users can also opt to record videos in slow motion, which will be at 720p.
Perhaps what's more amazing about this new innovation is that it can also safely land on water. The new gadget is waterproof, with an IP67 rating. The body is also sealed and the motors are insulated, making it the best camera for outdoor and extreme sports shoots.
Lily is capable of flying up to 25mph and up to 100 feet in the air. It is equipped a built-in lithium-ion battery with a four-hour battery life, and charges via micro USM.
The company behind Lily is already accepting pre-orders on its official website.
