Tacoma Central Presbyterian Church donated a considerable sum of money as an offering for the recovery and reconstruction of the Philippines last semester. The offering was presented to a local missionary in the city of Tacloban.
Tacloban is the city that sustained the most damage from the largest typhoon in history that struck the Philippines. Tacona Church is hoping to deliver 200 sacks of rice to families in need, and also planned to send children backpacks filled with school supplies.
The local missionary who receiving the donation expressed his gratitude at the support from the church, "I am so thankful that the church is sending us warm love for the Philippines."
