Major network carrier AT&T has announced that it will start releasing Microsoft's latest Lumia 950 flagship handset later this week, Engadget reported.
It is not yet clear, however, if AT&T will be the only carrier to feature the Windows 10-powered smartphone in the U.S.
According to sources, AT&T is already accepting pre-orders for the Lumia 950 and the device is expected to hit the carrier's retail stores on November 20. It will be offered with an off-contract price of $600, which subscribers can pay off in with 30 monthly payments of $19.97 with a two-year upgrade option.
They can also choose to get the device at 24 monthly installments of $24.96 with an 18-month upgrade option or pay $29.95 for 12 months, which comes with an upgrade option of one year.
As for its specs, Microsoft previously revealed that the Lumia 950 sports a 5.2-inch WQHD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset. The device packs 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 200GB through a microSD card.
For its camera configuration, Microsoft equipped its latest flagship handset with a 20-megapixel primary shooter paired with a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. It runs on a 3000mAh battery that can provide up to 288 hours of stand-by time.
The Lumia 950's larger counterpart, the Lumia 950 XL with a 5.7-inch display, however, will not debut on November 20. It is also not yet clear if it will debut through AT&T but the device is expected to come out at a later date, possibly by next week.
According to PC World, Microsoft will sell the unlocked version of the Lumia 950 XL for $650. And, as a limited exclusive deal, the tech giant will throw in a free Display Dock with the device. This dock can be connected to the smartphone, a keyboard, mouse and a monitor to essentially turn the Lumia 95o XL into a desktop computer.
AT&T is also offering the Display Dock but as a separate item that can be purchased for an additional price of $99. This means if the Display Dock is purchased with the Lumia 950 through AT&T, the two items' total price will be same as the cost of Microsoft's limited Lumia 950 XL bundle.
Other carriers have not yet announced if they will also sell the Lumia 950 or the Lumia 950 XL once these two devices officially come out.
