Florida Senator Marco Rubio announced that he is running for United States President on Monday, April 13. Rubio is a Cuban-American Republican who has served as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. The 2016 Presidential Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8.

His political views on taxes are that taxes should not be raised during a recession. He also proposed a policy in 2014 that would raise federal income levels for U.S. residents. The policy would replace the end-of-the-year lump sum tax credit. His views on abortion are pro-life. He disagrees with same-sex marriage. Rubio also disagrees with the recreational use of cannabis. He does not agree with using federal revenue to prevent global climate change. Rubio wishes to replace Obamacare with a three-fold plan that would help people pay for insurance.
"I'm a Roman Catholic. I'm theologically in line with the Roman Catholic Church. I believe in the authority of the church, but I also have tremendous respect for my brothers and sisters in other Christian faiths. I recognize, as the Catholic Church does, that there are excellent teachings of the Word throughout other denominations. The elements of salvation are found in these churches as well," said Rubio in an interview with Christianity Today.
Rubio is married to Jeannette Dousdebes and has four children. His hobbies include listening to EDM and hip-hop music, according to reports by TMZ.
