NBA Free Agents Rumors: LaMarcus Aldridge Leaving Portland Trail Blazers? All-Star Forward Selling Portland Home

LaMarcus Aldridge is reportedly selling his home in Portland. Could it be a sign the All-Star power forward is planning to leave the Portland Trail Blazers this summer?

Trail Blazers correspondent Amy Schwartz of 750 The Game revealed on Twitter that Aldridge has listed his Portland home for sale. Schwartz pointed out that the decision to list the property came a month before free agency.

Aldridge, who has spent his entire nine-year career in Portland, will become a free agent in the offseason. According to RealGM, the future of Aldridge in Portland is still uncertain at this point because the free-agent-to-be is expected to consider all options this summer.

Aside from the Trail Blazers, the San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets will reportedly make a strong push to sign Aldridge to a contract next month.

But while the decision to list his home for sale intrigued most NBA fans and analysts, Mike Richman of The Oregonian recently said in an interview that Aldridge is tough to read. He reiterated that talks about the possible destination of the 29-year-old will remain speculation until the nine-year veteran announces his decision.

Richman believes the Blazers are still on top of the list of preferred destination of Aldridge, but he is also convinced the former Texas standout will strongly consider moving to a team where he will have a good chance to win an NBA championship in the near future.

"LaMarcus Aldridge is tough to read," Richman said in a roundtable discussion via Oregon Live. "Judging by his comments at media day alone, I'd say the Trail Blazers have a slight edge over the field in terms of retaining him. However, I do think he takes serious consideration into joining another contending team."

Casey Holdahl of TrailBlazers.com echoed the statement of Richman, saying that he is not ready to buy into the talks about the plans of Aldridge this offseason.

"Anyone who implies that they have first-hand insight into which way LaMarcus Aldridge is leaning in terms of his future in the NBA is probably being disingenuous," Holdahl said. "He is truly a mystery, a man that, in these days of oversharing, makes a point of keeping to himself."

Aldridge, who made his fourth All-Star appearance this season and was named to the 2015 All-NBA Second Team, averaged career-high 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game with the Trail Blazers this season.
