NCA’s Shane Ko, Accepted By West Point

Shane Ko, a student at New Covenant Academy was recently accepted into West Point military academy. New Covenant Academy (NCA) is one of the most prestigious private institutes in Los Angeles.

NCA, located on 6th and Shatto street, has sent previous students to the renowned military academy in the past, starting with Daniel Lee (class of 2008) and Hyun-Woo Joo (class of 2012). Mr. Shane Ko is the third alumnus from NCA to enroll in West Point. Ko is the youngest of the three children in the Ko family who run a small private business in Korea Town in Los Angeles.

Ko had decided to apply for West Point with the ambition of living out service and love for his country as a citizen. He was a model student who always exercised and even volunteered frequently, for instance at the Olympic police station for the past 2 to 3 years.

West Point is actually the name of the city in the state of New York where the U.S. military academy is located. The institute is known to educate finest officers in the U.S. armed forces, and the academy is known to provide all its students with tuition and living expenses.
