Pastor Rick Warren, the founder of Saddleback Church announced the ministry's plans to launch a Los Angeles campus. The pastor also announced that there will be a special Easter Worship as part of the launch.
Saddleback Church is planning to hold its Easter services on the 20th of April at the auditorium of Hollywood High. The actual location of the Los Angeles branch of the church is still up in the air. The schedule of services that will be happening after Easter has not yet been finalized either. However, over 1,000 people have expressed agreement with the need of the L.A. campus. 300 people have even signed up to help with the Easter services on the 20th.
Pastor Jeremy Haynes was hired by Saddleback Church to specifically lead and look after the Los Angeles Campus. He himself is from the city of Los Angeles and expressed great excitement at the idea of Saddleback coming to his home town.
Saddleback Church first started in Lakewood and currently has eight different branches across Southern California. The mega church continues to plant campuses in various regions as an effort to fulfill the Great Commission.
