'James Bond: SPECTRE' Plot & Cast: Will 007 Fall for Stephanie Sigman's Character?

A new lady will be joining the cast of James Bond: SPECTRE as recent reports revealed that Stephanie Sigman signed up for the role, according to Crave Online.

The aforementioned addition was later on confirmed by the executives of the film themselves via social media. "We are pleased to announce that @SigmanStephanie has joined the cast of #SPECTRE as Estrella," shared the handler of the official Twitter account of James Bond.

Sigman, who is a well known Mexican actress, will be joining Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux in the upcoming installment of the blockbuster franchise.

Although the announcement revealed that the brunette will be portraying the character named Estrella, there remains no further details on the actual nature of her role. Hence, fans and followers of the highly popular film are left to speculate on whether Sigman will be playing a good citizen role or an evil villain.

Some of the most notable roles of Sigman are her portrayals in various television shows such as The Bridge, Narcos, Los Minondo, and Cambio de Vida. However, her calibre as an actress was catapulted to stardom by her roles in the highly acclaimed films Pioneer in 2013, Miss Bala in 2011, and Río de Oro in 2010.

SPECTRE had been previously known as the Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion. Fans of the franchise will recall that the group played a major role in the early installments of the films, which included battles with Sean Connery's James Bond version. SPECTRE had been featured in James Bond movies such as Thunderball and Dr. No.

The upcoming James Bond flick will once again be under the direction of Sam Mendes, who was also behind Skyfall in 2012. Daniel Craig will be returning as the British spy. Meanwhile, new faces will be seen in the upcoming film including Dave Bautista, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, and Ralp Fiennes.
