The team behind "Star Wars: Episode VII', more commonly known as "The Force Awakens', has promised a "special look" at the upcoming film at the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 and fans have been speculating that Disney might unveil another teaser that could finally reveal Luke Skywalker.
The SDCC description for the space action thriller states: "Lucasfilm president and producer Kathleen Kennedy, director J.J. Abrams, writer Lawrence Kasdan, and special guests provide a special look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
Fans have only just heard Skywalker in a previous teaser while he was speaking about the "strong force" that runs in his family.
Moreover, viewers have only been given a glimpse of his robotic arm as he reaches out to Maz Kanata, played by award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o.
In one of the trailers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' fans had their first look of Nyong'o's CGI character, where she gives the lightsaber to another character, possibly a Jedi master.
Kanata's initial look was unveiled in a leaked concept art with the codename "Rose." The unofficial image of the CGI character bears a resemblance to the female pirate, as pointed out by Making Star Wars.
For her complete look, fans are looking forward to Nyong'o's character and other related details that could be unveiled at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con.
The highly anticipated film, which is the first of a new trilogy, has been associated with multiple leaks, such as plot information, Luke Skywalker's hiding place and Princess Leia's look as the older galactic warrior.
With less than six months to go before the official premiere of "The Force Awakens,' it has been confirmed that the story will be set three decades following the events of "Return of the Jedi.'
The film is expected to bring back fan-favorites, such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2 and more. New characters will also be introduced, such as Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega) and Sith Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
Other cast members include Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Miltos Yerolemou, Max von Sydow and Christina Chong. Newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen have also signed on to the upcoming movie.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
