Fleetwood is currently taking rest at home, and his wife, Ashley Fleetwood, admires his courage. "It's a commitment and he still has that commitment, that drive and that love, and I think that it's a beautiful thing," she told KPRC. "Even if it's just a movie, that's magic for a lot of people." Ashley has come up with a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his husband's medical bills. In the website, photos of Daniel are posted, including him dressed in "Star Wars' clothing, such as a Yoda hat and Darth Vader hoodie. Peter Mayhew, who takes on the role of Chewbacca, has also taken to Twitter and showed support for Fleetwood by retweeting the hashtag. Neither Walt Disney Studios nor "The Force Awakens' director J.J. Abrams has publicly responded to Daniel's request. In 2013, Abrams granted a film fanatic in New York, Daniel Craft, a similar final dying wish to watch "Star Trek Into Darkness' before its official release. Craft, who had terminal cancer, died only days after seeing the movie. Abrams has already promised to unveil "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' at an earlier screening time for his good friend, Jimmy Iovine. In a recent Q&A video for Vanity Fair, the helmer teased the record producer, saying, "Yes Jimmy, I'll show you the movie before it comes out. Five minutes before it comes out." "Star Wars: The Force Awakens' makes its way to theaters on Dec. 18.
