While Margot Robbie rose to superhero stardom with her role as Harley Quinn in the highly-anticipated movie "Suicide Squad,' fans should also know that the star was offered the role of Sue Storm, also known as The Invisible Woman, in the "Fantastic Four' reboot by Josh Trank.
Robbie recently shared her experience of having to turn down the role that was once played by Jessica Alba in the 2005 remake.
"I didn't really resonate with the script, and I haven't seen the movie, so I don't really know how it turned out different from the page," Robbie said of Fox's latest reboot. "But I had a great meeting with the director (Trank) and I really enjoyed that. I guess it's part of the game: sometime you win some, sometimes you lose some."
The "Wolf of Wall Street' star also opened up about portraying her role beside Jared Leto, who plays The Joker in "Suicide Squad.' Robbie had nothing but positive words on Leto's approach towards playing the classic Batman antagonist, sharing that she felt more comfortable with the actor while he was in character, but was scared stiff when she saw the 30 Seconds to Mars lead without his makeup on.
"What he's doing with the character is so cool," Robbie shared of his remarkable performance. "At first it was kind of confronting to be up close, but now I'm so used to it, I think if I ever saw him out of makeup now I would be really confused. Actually, I saw him out of makeup once and I was actually petrified of him. I was too scared to go up and didn't know who that person was, and when he got back into his makeup I was far more comfortable."
Looking into the concept of their upcoming movie, Robbie shared her sentiments on taking part in a flick that revolves around antagonists.
"The one common denominator is we're all bad guys, it just makes everything more fun that way. The scenes are more interesting I feel, when you just don't know how the characters are going to react, especially with Harley, who's absolutely nuts...," the actress said. "She's either going to kill you or laugh and give you a hug."
"Suicide Squad' has been set for a premiere on Aug. 5, 2016.
