In celebration of Valentine's Day, Insomniac Games, the developer of "Sunset Overdrive," introduced a new achievement that's worth 175 gamescore points.
The achievement, dubbed as "D'awwwwww," was added by the game's director Drew Murray to pay tribute to his daughter Ainsley.
News about the new achievement was announced through the Xbox Wire. According to the report, to complete the challenge, players will have to find 12 of the young Murray's drawings which are scattered and hidden inside the game's world.
After collecting all of the drawings, players will be able to unlock a pink tutu costume which they can use for their characters.
Although the outfit and the drawings are already available in the game prior to the announcement, this is the first time players will receive huge points for unlocking them.
As for the gamers who have already collected the drawings and unlocked the costume before the "D'awwwwww" achievement was introduced, they can claim their 175 gamescore points by simply rebooting the game.
News about the achievement came days after "Sunset Overdrive" was nominated in the British Academy Games Awards held annually by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), according to Polygon. Under the category Original Property, the nomination highlights the development team's work on the game.
"Sunset Overdrive" will go up against "Titanfall" from Respawn, Ubisoft's "Valiant Hearts: The Great War" and several other games in the award ceremony.
"Sunset Overdrive" debuted in October of last year and was exclusively released for Microsoft's Xbox One console. It is a third-person shooter that mixes action with comedy as the game's protagonist takes on mutant monsters that have taken over the city.
Since its launch, the game has received relatively positive reviews from critics due to its style of game play. Utilizing an open-world setting, players use zip-lines and grind rails to navigate their characters through the city in the game.
