"Ted 2' actor Mark Wahlberg made a surprise appearance on stage with boyband group New Kids On The Block at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on Monday, June 22. Mark was a member of NKOTB prior to his acting career. His older brother Donnie Wahlberg posted a photo of them hugging on stage on his Instagram account. Donnie also announced the premiere date of "Wahlburgers' Season 4 on Twitter.
During a set at a NKOTB concert, Donnie introduced rapper 50 Cent to the stage. 50 Cent rapped "In Da Club' with backup rappers to get the crowd going. After his performance, 50 Cent announced that they had a surprise for the fans. He walked down the stage stairs and brought Mark up to the stage.
Fans went wild as Mark greeted them. He threw up a peace sign and also hugged every band member on stage. "Good Vibrations,' the band's 1991 No. 1 hit single began playing. After a few minutes, Mark walked off stage with 50 Cent and the other guest performers of the night. Mark used to be a rapper in the band before leaving the group.
"Marky Mark retired 25 years ago, but I still loved sharing the stage w my brother @mark_wahlberg tonight!" posted Donnie on Monday.
Donnie posted an Instagram picture of himself and his younger brother Mark locked in a warm embrace. The photo received 25.3k likes. In the photo, Donnie is seen wearing a black fedora hat, black long-sleeve shirt, and a silver necklace. Mark is wearing a casual green teeshirt, blue jeans, a watch, and a beaded necklace.
News of "Wahlburgers' Season 4 was tweeted by Donnie on Wednesday. Season 4 premieres on July 15, 2015. The AETV network reality television series features the Wahlberg family as they run their chain of restaurants. The series began in January 2014. The franchise business has restaurants in Massachusetts, Canada, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. There will be a total of 27 restaurants with 7 locations in New York.
