'Teen Wolf' star Tyler Posey has spoken up about the brand new episodes in season five, and the actor promises fans that there will be a more mature relationship between his character, Scott, and Kira (Arden Cho).
"[The second half of the current installment] shows them in a different light," Posey said, referring to Scira, when he sat down for an interview with Us Weekly. "Now you see the mature aspect of them going through all of this with each other and coming out alive and coming out more mature and as adults. I think it's really fun just to grow their relationship."
Despite every character in Beacon Hills being in great trouble due to the arrival of The Beast, there will remain a number of romantic scenes between the couple, as the 24-year-old-actor told revealed that there will be several "intimate" moments for Scott and Kira in season 5B.
Viewers were not able to get a glimpse of Kira in the season 5B premiere as the thunder kitsune has gone missing since she said goodbye to Beacon Hills during the last few minutes of season 5, episode 8, titled "Ouroboros.' As such, fans are questioning whether she will finally make her comeback in this week's episode.
"Episode 12 ['Damnatio Memoriae'] cues the audience in to where she's been and where she's going with a bit of a cliffhanger," series executive producer Jeff Davis shared to The Hollywood Reporter last year. "And then [episode] 13 is all about Kira. It's pretty fun, what we've come up with, and pretty ambitious, and it delves into some of the tougher parts of her relationship with her own mother, too."
After learning that she was also a subject of the evil experiment conducted by the Dread Doctors, Kira ran away from Beacon Hills and brought her parents with her. No details were told to Scott about her exact plans, but she did tell him that they will be seeking a solution to have a tighter grip on the fox inside her.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the hit series' suspenseful midseason finale, Davis revealed to viewers that Kira and her mom Noshiko have headed to New Mexico.
"We have a really big episode which is all about Kira and Noshiko going off on their own story to try to figure out how to tame the fox spirit within her," Davis shared. "And it takes place actually in the desert in New Mexico where they have to journey."
"Teen Wolf' season 5B continues with "Damnatio Memoriae" on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 9 p.m. on MTV.
