The panel for "Teen Wolf' season five at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con formally announced last July 9, Thursday, that the hit MTV series has been renewed for season six.
Actors Tyler Posey, Dylan O' Brien, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Dylan Sprayberry and Cody Christian along with showrunner Jeff Davis were all present at the panel and shared about the things to come at Beacon Hills.
Fans of Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) brotherly friendship will be in for a bitter surprise in the upcoming episodes.
"Something happens in episode five in the beginning of the episode that causes a rift between Scott and Stiles and threatens their relationship," Davis shared at the event. "It's something that Theo (Cody Christian) uses. You'll see these two possibly headed for a breakup."
Dylan Sprayberry, who takes on the role of Liam, also teased: "There will be some conflict of Scott and I."
Even Posey confirmed that things have become more difficult and that his time as the pack's leader could be coming to an end.
"Scott feels like he can't handle his own pack," Posey shared. ""¦He can't figure out what it is and why and I think he is dealing with the idea that somebody can handle the pack or be a better Alpha than he can."
Meanwhile, showrunner Davis promised that the upcoming episodes will be more action-packed. MTV did release the latest trailer for the remaining chapters of the fifth season, which drops clues relating to Scott and Stiles' possibly crumbling friendship. Kira's attacks on Scott as well as Lydia being captured by the Dread Doctors were shown as well.
The clip also offers details about the Dread Doctors and their evil scheme. It appears that the villainous medical personnel know the town a little too well and are more menacing than imagined.
"I would call it a season of dread. And that's why our villains are called the Dread Doctors," Davis previously said in an interview with E! News.
"These are our only villains that carry on to the next season," Posey shared. "They have another [season], they will carry on because they will evolve."
Season 5 is expected to be the series' scariest run of all, and Davis already hinted of the "terrible things will happen to the characters" in the new episodes.
"Teen Wolf' airs every Monday at 10 p.m. on MTV .
